KEYNOTES, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DAYS, RESEARCH SUPPORT

Colleen was the keynote speaker at our Staff Wellbeing Professional Development day.

Her keynote was 90 minutes and Colleen imparted her knowledge on holistic wellbeing in an engaging and interactive manner.  The whole staff team were involved (over 100 people from within the Keys Academy Trust).

Her appreciation and understanding of the reality of the school environment, coupled with her knowledge around wellbeing meant that the advice and techniques were easy to follow and learn and all of the staff joined in and felt better for it.

Her keynote highlighted the importance of a holistic and realistic approach to wellbeing that can be applied during a school day to benefit both staff and pupils.

Colleen also reviewed our wellbeing policy as we were formulating it, suggesting how we could bring it more into alignment and guiding us to a definition for wellbeing.  (Mr P. Davis, Head of School, Keys Academy Trust)

 

Colleen delivered a short presentation to delegates at our conference, who were all senior leaders.  The presentation included ideas and techniques on ‘de-stressing’ and keeping calm even whilst at work, in between meetings for example.

The techniques went down very well and her input was very well received. (E. Maher, NAHT local president, Walsall NAHT)

 

Colleen helped me take my ideas for my Wellness Action Research project into a design that had valid and reliable data collection.  Having her input definitely benefitted the students in terms of the quality of delivery and how my sessions were structured.
